Discover the Heart Behind Our Name:
We sought a name that would encapsulate Gosia Tiger’s essence, reflecting what her patients consistently express about her. The quality most frequently cited by her patients is her profound compassion for their well-being.
Time and again, patients express their gratitude by thanking her directly or by reaching out to her supervisors to commend the exceptional care they receive. They appreciate how she dedicates time to listen attentively and understand their needs deeply.
Given that compassion perfectly embodies Tiger’s approach, we embarked on a quest for the ideal name. Striving for uniqueness and drawing from our diverse South African and Polish heritage, we discovered the Afrikaans word for compassion: ‘Deernis.’ And just like that, ‘Deernis Care,’ meaning ‘Compassionate Care,’ was born.
